What has been your career highlight so far?
I have had the opportunity to travel the world and work with some of the most talented hairdressers in the industry. I did my formal training in NYC under former Frederic Fekkai creative director Roy Teeluck, and I then apprenticed celebrity hairstylist Teddy Charles in Los Angeles. I was able to work alongside him on campaigns, beauty, covers, and editorials with Kendall Jenner, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Gal Gadot, Cindy Crawford, and Jane Fonda to name a few.
Additionally, I’ve gotten to work with a variety of TV shows like America’s Next Top Model and RuPaul’s Drag Race. I was even given the opportunity to collaborate with HBO’s Westworld, which won an Emmy for Outstanding Hairstyling for a Series.
I’ve also been extremely fortunate to work on amazing teams for New York and Paris Fashion Weeks for over a decade now. I’ve styled hair for shows including Louis Vuitton, Saint Laurent, Givenchy, Tom Ford, Rick Owens, Khaite, Rachel Comey, Naeem Khan, and many more.
Describe your personal style or aesthetic.
I tend to gravitate toward more freeform shapes and cutting styles. However, I also find beauty in a simple shape which has impeccable balance, or a line that’s cut immaculately to perfection. I think that it is important to take a nuanced approach to style and aesthetics.
What is your approach to doing hair?
My formal training is in the classical french technique. I tend to use that technique as my foundation, then incorporate and draw from inspirations and current trends.
