I’ve been behind the chair for 13 years, with a career rooted in dimensional, lived-in color and extensions. Before moving to Chicago, I owned a salon in Colorado, where I spent years building a loyal clientele while also mentoring and educating other stylists. I’ve specialized in hair extensions since 2016 and have had the opportunity to travel as an extension educator. Today, my work continues to center around custom hair extensions, dimensional color, and beautiful, wearable hair. What I love most, though, is the one-on-one relationship I build with my clients and creating hair that feels authentically like them.
What styles or aesthetics are you influenced by?
Growing up near the ocean in Southern California has always influenced the way I see beauty, especially color. I’m inspired by the way the sun naturally lightens hair — creating softness, dimension and warmth and I bring a lot of that into my work. I’m also heavily influenced by fashion and editorial imagery, which brings a more refined edge to that California ease. My aesthetic I’ve always said is laid-back luxury: intentional and elevated, but never overdone or trying too hard.
How do you tailor each client's experience to their personal hair goals?
Listening! The consultation is my favorite part - even with long time guests. I love asking questions you’ve maybe never been asked in the chair before. My goal is to blend my intuition with hair and what looks good for them, with the key points I hear in the consultation. Lifestyle, maintenance, and how much change they’re seeking all factor into my decision-making process. Whether we’re creating custom color, dimensional highlights, balayage, or custom hair extensions, my goal is to create something that feels truly personalized to them.
Favorite current beauty trend.
I’m loving the softer contrast in hair color. Right now we are seeing more monochromatic looks and subtle dimension in brunettes which is really sexy. The money piece trend is getting more diffused and I love seeing face-framing highlights become more of a glow around the face with a softer melt. The return of the big bouncy blowout has to be one of my favorites though! Soft “lived in” color with refined polished styling is *chefs kiss* for me!!
